by Jacob's well. It was about noon. A Samaritan woman came to draw water and Jesus asked a drink from her, then taught he about living water. The plants mean the lives of living water and fish swim in the water. There is a cross behind Jesus. Look at the cross. It implies that the living water springs from the cross. These is no boundary, no limit in the whole picture, which mean the living water is without end, wherein, the fish stands for Christian symbol. The phoenix (to right) emblematizes the resurrected life. The backdrop is not necessary because it indicates the theme of Jesus' talking. |
