Japan Christian Art 25th Exhibitions

BACK TO EXHIBITION PAGE

(06/28/2001) This year the Christian Art Association in Japan celebrated its 25th Exhibition. These exhibitions had been continued by participating artists, both Catholic and Protestant, who share the spirit of the ecumenical movement, as well as others who agree with the goals of creating spiritual art works.

The celebration took place on June 29 - July 10, 2001 at the Tokyo YMCA. There were two memorial lectures by Prof. Mikio Sumiya, Professor Emeritus, Tokyo University, and Prof. Masao Takenaka, Honorary President, Asian Christian Art Association, on June 29, 2001. Japan Christian Art published its 25th Anniversary book both in English and in Japanese to celebrate this occasion.
